Employee Support Services represent the heart of SEKRI’s mission. We are more than a manufacturer—we are an organization committed to creating opportunities, providing stability, and removing barriers for individuals with disabilities, veterans, and others seeking meaningful, competitive employment. Our support structure gives every employee access to the tools, accommodations, and encouragement they need to succeed.
Employee Support Services
Counseling & Person-Centered Planning
SEKRI’s rehabilitation counselors partner directly with employees to:
- Create individualized employment plans
- Identify strengths, goals, and development pathways
- Offer on-the-job support during training or role transitions
- Coordinate with supervisors to ensure expectations are achievable
- Provide continuous encouragement and problem-solving guidance
This personalized support ensures each employee can grow with confidence.
Workplace & Disability Accommodations
SEKRI provides accommodations tailored to each individual’s abilities and needs, including:
- Modified production expectations in accordance with AbilityOne guidelines
- Flexible scheduling for therapy, medical, or recovery appointments
- Ergonomic adjustments and assistive tools
- Reassignments as new roles open or skills develop

Assistive Technology
Through the Office for the Blind and other partners, we provide tools that empower employees to work independently:
- Magnifiers and visual aids
- Screen magnification systems
- Adapted threading and sewing tools
- Tactile signage and workstation guidance
Assistive technology ensures visually impaired employees can participate fully in production and quality control.
Education & Life-Skills Development
SEKRI supports holistic employee development through:
- GED preparation and testing (on-site or via Skype)
- Adult learning classes
- Math, English, and literacy improvement
- Financial literacy and budgeting workshops
- Basic computer and digital skills
- Self-management and workplace readiness training
